Controlled Release Tablets
Tablets remain the most common pharmaceutical form and at R5 we have a huge variety of equipment and experience to develop the most stable formulation for your API. This can include coated tablets (to disguise the taste, and improve its appearance), shaped tablets (for improving identity or to help with swallowing). Controlled and Modified Release formulations cover a wide spectrum of formulations; that includes prolonged release, targeted release and instant release products. Poorly soluble APIs are very common and R5 has a selection of formulation strategies to overcome this unhelpful property. Tablet batch sizes up to 50kg can be made and produced on a range of equipment from single punch machines to high speed force fed machines.
We can examine, direct compression, wet granulation, and top spray granulation.

Analytical ChemistryAnalytical Chemistry is at the heart of any development project. We create the analytical methods for use by QC to release and assess products and stability indicating methods to enable us to justify the shelf lives of the products we develop. All the dosage forms listed are supported by our in house analytical chemistry teams |
