Creams, Ointments and Gels

Topical (skin care) products for a range of indications are developed at R5. This includes sensitive areas such as candidiasis and wound care. Our project plan includes evaluation of the performance of topical product using skin studies with either synthetic skin or from the appropriate source to provide ex-vivo data. The selection of the applicator and /or primary container is an essential part of any topical development project and R5 has a good knowledge of what the market can offer, their sources and what is most suitable for the product under development. Batch sizes up to 20 kg can be made and filled.
 
QP: All clinical batches are released into the European Community by an R5 Qualified Person.

	Analytical Chemistry Analytical Chemistry is at the heart of any development project. We create the analytical methods for use by QC to release and assess products and stability indicating methods to enable us to justify the shelf lives of the products we develop. All the dosage forms listed are supported by our in house analytical chemistry teams.
